CIT Program

Our Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is a stepping-stone to transition our CITs from campers to full time staff members. It provides a solid foundation for developing the skills needed to be an effective counselor. Throughout the program, CITs will gain hands-on experience working with both children and staff in a supportive, supervised environment. Each week, CITs will split their time between assisting staff members and participating in activities organized by the CIT Director. CITs will work closely with senior staff to develop key skills such as leadership, organization, team building, and problem-solving. Camp is an ideal setting for honing confidence, communication, and teamwork, as well as learning to balance responsibility with fun. The CIT program offers teens the chance to transition from camper to staff member while making lifelong friendships and becoming active participants in camp.
